if you knew your home was haunted, would you tell potential buyers ?

and would you buy a haunted property ?

im lucky in a sense, our home is rented from the council,so the day we move i have no problems, however the council now have a obligation to tell any future tenant about what occured here, even though it now fine.

i would never buy a property that i "know" to be haunted, but i do believe that every building spirits pass through 24/7 its simply up to the individual sometimes ...

I'm probably about to stick my foot in it, however: I'm opening this thread for discussions of things that the posters have PERSONALLY experienced. No 'friend of friend' tales or things that you have read about.

I'll go first.

I've seen several things over time I'm not easily able to explain away, however, the one that sticks out in my mind took place about six years ago, in front of myself and other witnesses. The entire event took only a moment, and to this day I wish I had a video ...

A friend from Germany told me about a time she and her friend visited a small village and felt something so alarming that they ran. These are her own words, with her permission. It just came up in a conversation about her visiting a castle during a recent holiday.

To me, it did not sound like a haunting, precisely, but I would be interested to know if any-one has experienced anything similar. I've also heard of some-one hearing strange ...

I have been giving some thought to how Ghosts appear in popular literature and films and wondering if there has ever been a popular, good and accurate portrayal of a ghost. Shakespeare has his ghosts coming back for vengeance, Dickens has Scrooge visited by series of different spectres, Casper looks like a cartoon bed sheet and Ghostbusters……well, I kind of like Slimer actually . These ghosts tend to be sentient and communicate with the living. Are they true representations or guilty of ...

First of all, thanks to everyone who answered my first question.

Can you all point me in the right direction to find haunted or supernatual places in London that I could check out? If you know of good "ghost tour" please share but thats not quite what I'm looking for. It would be a nice first step though.

Any interesting places (preferably with convenient tube access )

Hi

We live in quite an old building (not sure how old, probably 100 years+ old) and have lived there for over 8 years now.

It doesnt seem to be gloomy or menacing in any way and comes and goes. I don't really have any explanation for what it could be ...

many people claim that in the world of spirit, the time issue is very much different to what the earth planes is?

they say spirit can interact with the earth plane as quickly as the blink of an eye,
they say that what could be 20 years in our lifetime, could just be a few days in theirs...

do you think there is any truth in this, and if so what do you think the purpose is behind it.

There seems to quite a few haunted tales concerning spirits or ghosts attached to certain items. There is the famous Spedlins Bible which became forever interlinked with the ghost when used to exorcise it. Other tales concern bodily parts such as skulls.
