I was e-mailed this article which although does not mention much about ghosts it does highlight some fantastic British eccentricity.

That's fab ! If you like stories about English eccentricity, I bought a book the other day from Astley Book Farm (incidently they have a fab paranormal section if anyone's interested, plus a signed book by the British bulldog himself!) called 'English Eccentricities'. It was published in 1991 and written by a guy called John Timpson. It is a truly hilarious read. Some of the guys in it are wonderful. There's a photo in it of this one Priest who locked himself in a cage after the clergy fired him and threatened that the lion would eat him if they didn't give him his job back! Suffice to say, the scenario ended with a bloody big mess for the cleaner to sort out.
