What do you think about this film? I've read a few reviews and they are deeply contrasting, ranging from exilarating to boring in the extreme.
Personally I find the idea of Crowley coming back to life nowadays in Oxford the base for some great humor... Very Happy

Very particular and highly entartaining film, though not for everybody. I will definetely get the DVD in September.

(Spoiler Warning!)

Apparently Scientologist didn't like the first minutes of the film, in which an ageing Crowley declares all his hatred for L. Ron Hubbard (which was real enough), to the point of dying of an apoplectic fit brought on by rage against the aforementioned founing father of Scientology, and have gone to incredible lengths to spoil ratings on mainstream sites like IMDB. Ignore Alien Orders ( Wink ) and have fun!

Wow... Crowley hated Hubbard so much he died of it!? That's a bit... sad...

I'm not a fan of Crowley, I tend to view him in much the same way as Lovecraft did.

That's how he's depicted in the film: you'll probably find out that the most likely cause of death was a lifetime of drug abuse and promiscous sexual relationships but let's not bother with it.
But his hatred of Ron Hubbard was real enough.
