No, not a post about that show. Where do you think is the most haunted building, village, town or region in Britain and why? Lets see if we can compile some sort of league table here.

Isn't Pluckley in Kent meant to the most haunted village? They have around 16 Ghosts and were in the Guiness book of records as most haunted village.

A Coach & Horses is seen all over, a Colonel at Park Wood, a Monk at Greystones, The Red Lady and White Lady at St Nicholas's Church, a Tudor Lady at Rose Court, a Highwayman at Pinnock Crossroads, a Miller where the old mill was, a Schoolmaster on Dicky Buss Lane, a screaming man at the brickworks and the Watercress Woman at Pinnock Stream.
The Black Horse, The Dering Arms, The Blacksmith's Arms, Dering Woods, Frith Wood and Frith Corner are supposed to be haunted to.

I think they filmed "Darling Buds of May" there as well Wink

I don't know of any village supposedly more haunted than Pluckley. What about haunted towns, buildings etc?

Actually we might need to down grade Pluckely as many of it's ghosts were invented for a TV Times article in the 1950's.

An article on Pluckley has just been put on the main site at http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/hauntings/pluckley.html.
I think given the dubious nature of it's claims to be haunted we should consider other sites as a possible Most Haunted village.

I guess Edinburgh is fairly haunted, particularly the old town. We've got ghosts in the Castle, in the Palace, on and under the Royal Mile, in the Vaults, down Mary King's Close, in the cemeteries, and probably a lot more I can't think of off the top of my head.

As a good tourist, I took the Ghost Tour when I visited Edinburgh, and it was difficult to tell how many of the accounts were genuine and how many had been augmented or just fabricated for the tourists. I didn't expect to see or sense anything, being as I was in a rather large group, but the strategic lighting did make me wonder.

I'm told (from someone I consider a reliable enough source) that one tour company owner migrated a ghost from a previous tour/company he did. Suffice to say that the spook in particular has earnt him a fair few pennies!

The underground tours tend to be a lot of folk tales as oppose to ghosts. At the end of the day, they are part of a product for customers, but nonetheless entertaining.
