| Hypnagogic episodes occur when you are near sleep. The person will waken, often with a start, to find that they can see, hear, feel or smell something in the bedroom that either disappears or is later found not have happened. The most common hallucinations are: thinking that a name has been called out or that the phone is ringing; bright or dark amorphous blobs that hang in mid-air and slowly fade; a feeling that somebody has touched the face, feet or hands; the appearance of a person by the bedside who then disappears.
Such states are quite normal and can happen to anyone, any time, though some people get them more often than others.
Having seen lights all your life, did you think the ones during the haunting episode were unusual or different?
Did anyone in the TV team ever discuss your experiences in detail with you? Did any of them mention sleep paralysis or hypnagogic states? |
