There is no official body that regulates Paranormal Investigators, therefore anybody can call themselves one and head out to investigate cases armed with a crystal, a copy of the Exorcist and an "I Love Most Haunted" T-shirt. This is usually fine, but what is to stop someone acting in an unethical manner, such as telling the witness they been possessed or that a demonic entity stalks their home and their children are in dire danger?

Should the code of conduct be left up to the individual to sort out?
