| I remember from visiting a fantastic place in Jersey called Jersey Legend or Living Legend, one of the main "mascot" type figures was a particular faerie-being that looked very akin to an Urisk or Satyr. Said to be the inspiration behind Puck, he had a strange name, I remember something vaguely like "la Pourlequae". Obviously this isn't it- it's not even French, but something like the name.
Does anyone know the name? Has anyone been to Jersey Legend; they can rememebr the thing's name?

| Quiver, I think Urisk is refering to the small Island of Jersey in the English Channel. Urisk, the only thing i can find googling Jersey Legend points to a holiday destination as in.. Jersey’s Living Legend (St Peter – March to November) Learn about Jersey as it is today; how it relates to Britain, some of the traditions of the Island. The Living Legend has its own Adventure Golf course and Craft and Shopping Village. Local cuisine can also be sampled in their Jersey Kitchen Restaurant. I'll try to do better Lee. | |

| Haha, I think even Google keeps thinking I'm looking for NJ as well, Quiver Thanks Lee, and yes, that is the place I was talking about. I did find this on one of those sites you gave: the word "La Pouquelaye" which, if it isn't the actualy name, is pretty darned close to it. | |

| Sounds not unlike a Doctor Who story called "the Daemons"! | |

at Devil’s Hole in St Mary, there is a statue of the devil, is this the thing you were looking for Urisk ? I think I might still have some photos of that statue. It's so big, it's actually a little creepy!

| I cant believe i called it the devil, looks more like a satyr to me must have been their words Just had a quick look at the folklore on that site and there is mention of St Brelades parish Church having the foundations moved as it was being built, thats happend a lot in the british isles (one not far from me). Urisk you mentioned La Pouquelaye, according to the jersey site it is a standing stone that they call a fairy stone. I may have to visit Jersey sometime | |

| You should, Lee, it's a fantastic island!
And aye, la Pouquelaye seems to be just a menhir, but there was a visitor attraction in jersey called Jersey Living Legend or something like that where it seemed to portraye la Pouquelaye as a beastie like Puck...
