Article Ideas

Has anyone any suggestions for articles they would like the Mysteriousbritain team to write about or maybe even a topic you would like to write about yourself and allow us to host it for you.

I'd like to put forward a few suggestions for more in depth articles, let me know what you think of them.

Cottingley Fairies - They fooled a lot of people for many years and are an important episode in Britain's mysterious history.

Hell Fire Club and the Hell Fire Caves

Ilkley Moor Little Green Man Sighting

Enfield Poltergeist

They are all great ideas Ian, well worth writing about.
I can help out a bit with the Hell Fire Club article if needed. I can also write a little about the Scottish loch monsters if needed.

PS: are there any recent studies about the Ilkley Moor picture? Is it still unsolved?

Anything you want to write and submit Mauro would be great. I'm not sure if anything new has arisen about Ilkley, Stephen may know more.

I am writing a few lines over the Hell Fire Club this weekend and I plan on writing something about Scottish loch monsters around Christmas.
I hope to send you something next week already.

Any possibility of updating hte Scottish sites bit?? There's no excuse for Angus now

Also, is there any more info out there about the Walla Kirkyard "Yird Pigs"? I've got a small article on them in a book called Hidden Scotland.

It's great sources material isn't it Mauro. I think I will still have some photographs of the cave somewhere from when I visited it years back.

The Hellfire article is finally ready (well, it was ready on Monday but I took the occasion to tear it up and rewrite it extensively): I will mail it later.

Any interest in something about the Biddenden Maids? Not exactly supernatural but very intruiging nonetheless...

Absolutely Mauro, siamese twins from medieval Kent. I think they would git nicely in. I'm thinking of looking at Eleanor Cobham, Duchess of Glouscester and maybe Margery Jourdain, Witch of Eye.

I have some very good medical and historical sources for the Biddenden Maids. I'll start to work on it this week.

I have some older pieces (that may need tweaking) on the Manx Gef the Mongoose and the Fairy Boy of Leith (trying keeping a straight face when telling people about that one) which you're welcome to use if they're of interest?

Any articles you wish to submit to Mysteriousbritain would be very appreciated. We are hopng to add the Isle of Man to our gazateer soon so an article on Gef would fit in nicely. Not familiar with the Fairy Boy of Leith but I look forward to reading about it.
